Also known as Miké Oz Need I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism when I was three years old. I couldn’t speak till I was six years old. I used sign language to communicate as a child. Thanks to Sesame Street, I learned how to speak with an American accent. Hence whenever I meet someone new, they often ask if I am an American.
I enjoy drawing cartoons, so recently I decided to put this skill to good use by creating a children’s books about ABCs, Counting and Colours. My latest children’s book is the fully illustrated 3 Ducks Fix the Moon, a humorous story of how 3 ducks taunt the hunters during the duck hunting season and this causes the moon to be shattered all across the wetlands. The 3 Ducks eventually have to work together to fix the broken moon and put it back into the sky. I would really appreciate your support by purchasing my books.
I also enjoy creating video reviews on new movie releases under the name Sketch Bud on YouTube. Please subscribe to my channel when you view my reviews. Hope you enjoy watching my videos.
Recently I have written, acted, filmed and edited four sketch comedy short films at Tutti Arts (an Art organisation for disable artists). In October 2020, two of these short films were selected to be shown at the Nova Palace Theatre as part of the Sit Down, Shut Up and Watch Film Festival finalist screening, part of the Adelaide Film Festival. If you’re looking for some good laughs, I highly recommend these shorts.
I have also narrated audio books for other artists at Tutti Arts. As a member of the Radio Tutti, I recently interviewed ABC 891 radio announcer Peter Goers, children’s singer and song writer Peter Coombe and Hans (a finalist of America’s Got Talent).
I am a member of an acting group called Company AT (Autistic theatre group) at Tutti Arts. I have performed in two productions,‘History of Autism’ and ‘Impersonal Space’ (which the latter was a finalist in the Adelaide Theatre Guide in 2017).
